  Workshop Description

  Join award-winning watercolor artist Dan Marshall for a three day immersive workshop focused on elevating your watercolor practice through intention, process and technique. Working from Dan’s signature approach, we’ll paint a variety of subjects—combining tonal control, expressive brushwork, and a strong sense of design—you’ll learn to paint with greater clarity and purpose.

  Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and personalized feedback, participants will explore how to build a reliable painting process from start to finish: from value studies and composition planning to confident, atmospheric final paintings. This workshop emphasizes understanding why you make each brushstroke, strengthening both your technical foundation and your creative vision.

Dan Marshall is a Denver-based watercolor artist and instructor known for his expressive, tonal approach to painting landscapes, street scenes and the figure. Blending traditional technique with impressionist sensitivity, his work emphasizes value, edges, and atmosphere to create mood-driven, evocative scenes.
