  Workshop Description:  

  Kristi paints a variety of genres and realizes that not everyone is in the same place in their creative journey. In this workshop, Kristi strives to offer a little something for everyone.

  She will begin by approaching a landscape by focusing on value and painting from light to dark in the typical transparent watercolor manner. She will guide you through the completion of a simple landscape through a step-by-step approach.

  On day two, we will explore some different ways of approaching a watercolor (i.e. dark to light, paint subtraction, watercolor pour, texture techniques, alternate paint applications, etc.) Kristi will also introduce a non-objective approach to painting covering the fundamentals (composition, balance, shape, edges, color theory, etc.) that apply to ALL painting genres.

  On day three, you can apply all that you have learned in your own painting subject with instructor-guided instructions and critiques.
