Well, I hope you all enjoyed your summer without any NVWS meetings.

I sure did – I took time to attend to house problems – there are always

A lot to do, especially if you are trying to keep your garden alive in the extreme heat.

Out of The Blue Painting Assignment for the Summer:

I have 2 great prizes for first and second place for the summer project-

“Out of the Blue”. I’m excited to see what you envisioned. Bring your paintings to the In-Person Member Meeting for all to see.

Sue Churchill, Mary Herick, Kathleen Mullinnex and I, and others painted every Thursday at Parkdale Community Center – a fabulous facility and free!

We will continue throughout the year.

Our September 21st In-Person Member Meeting from 1 pm till 4 pm:

This will be in Summerlin at the Desert Vista Community Center.

Please come early and help us put up chairs and tables.

Member Meetup:

Laurie Ponte had a great idea for all of us to get to know each other.

We will set up long tables (like at singles events) with 5 minutes to talk to a member. Half would sit in one place, and the other half would move to the next table. A great socializing event.

Any Ideas?

Also, I need your ideas for future programs – What do you think you would  like to learn? 

Painting Critique Help:

Bring paintings you need help solving a problem or suggestions. There will be Signature members to suggest ideas.
