President's Message:

Well, the Holidays are behind us – What do we do with all this extra time and energy …. Paint! The Christmas (Holiday) Party at Rita Maroun’s beautiful home was a Resounding success! So maybe we will have it at Rita’s next year. Rita, thank you so very much for hosting the most fun party.

Great news, we have a new place for general meetings, The Multigenerational Center, 250 S Green Valley Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89012. Workshops are being held at Mountain View Community Center, 148 Day St, Henderson, NV 89074 (Gate Code #2892)

January Meeting Program: 

Please bring your paint supplies and Sharon will continue our class on colors, focusing on muted colors.

TO DO PRIOR TO MEETING: Draw a 6 to 7 inch circle palette with twelve ¾ inch to 1 inch circles inside the larger circle. Color palette will be for earth & pastel handouts for extended colors.

Pastel/Delicate colors to bring: Rose Madder (or Permanent Rose, or Scarlet Lake), Aureolin (or Lemon Yellow or Cadmium Yellow Lite), Cobalt Blue (or Antwerp Blue).

Earth Palette Colors to bring: Naples Yellow (or Quinacridone Gold), Perylene Maroon, Indanthrene Blue. 

Spotlight Artist: Paulette Baker 

Free raffles at every meeting for art books 

Signature artists will be available at every meeting to offer critiques (help) with your paintings, so please remember to bring in new or old paintings for advice. (If you prefer to have your painting critiqued in private please let us know)
